What We Do

The Gold Buckle Enterprises Pty Ltd company was formed in 1998  with the objective to promote bull riding in Australia, through appearances, breeding & contracting bucking bulls, holding bull riding schools, & selling a full range of bull riding equipment. 

 

Troy Dunn is the only Australian ever to win the World Bull Riding Title & is well respected in the bull riding/rodeo world which gave him the platform to elevate bull riding to the next level as a professional sport in Australia.

In 2005 after Troy’s retirement from bull riding the Professional Bull Riders Inc in the USA employed Troy & his wife Jackie to establish a PBR Office in Australia, at this time offices were also opened in Mexico, Canada & Brazil, taking the PBR Tour Global.

 

PBR Australia set up a membership base & started sanctioning & running regional events, then moved into staging major international events in capital city stadiums. PBR Australia staged the first PBR World Cup in the Gold Coast, Queensland in 2007.

 

The Tour went from strength to strength, growing a strong fan base & brand.  The international opportunities it offered top Australian riders was the key to its popularity with riders & contract personnel.

 

In 2016 Troy & Jackie stepped away from their duties with PBR Australia to focus more on their other love, their beef cattle properties & performance horses.  Moving into the Wagyu breed has opened new doors to cattle markets for the Dunn’s.

 

Troy, wife Jackie and their daughter, Tyrah run the Gold Buckle Enterprises company from their beef cattle property on the doorstep of The Whitsunday in Bloomsbury, Queensland, Australia.
